The Summer Isles lie just off mainland Achiltibuie a mere 15 to 20 minutes from where the Cruise departs. You will be sailing to the likes of Sgeir nam Feusgan, Eilean Fada Beag, Caolas a Mhill Ghairbh, Tanera Beag and many more. Each island and rock with its own ancient Gaelic name, each one different in its own special way. With stories and myths spanning the centuries surrounding them.

The Summer Isles Cruises run twice daily ( except Sundays ) May to September from Badentarbet pier, Achiltibuie. The morning cruise leaves at 10:30am and returns at 2:00pm the afternoon cruise leaves at 2:15pm and returns at 5:45pm

Both cruises land on one of the Summer Isles for one hour. Although there is sheltered seating in case of showers it is always advisable to bring warm and waterproof clothing along just in case, a picnic lunch is also a good idea.

The MV Hectoria has full D.T.I (Department of Trade and Industry) certification and can carry up to 89 passengers she is equipped with life jackets for all passengers including children's sizes and two life rafts which can accommodate all those aboard in the unlikely event that these be needed the captain and crew will see to your needs. There are also toilet facilities aboard.
During the cruise you can see many species of seabirds (some of which can be seen by following the Wildlife link in the menu) amongst the rugged rock formations, a sight in themselves and of course you will visit the seal colony where both the common and grey seals can be seen.
